What can I expect at a first appointment?

After careful review of medical and dental histories, we get to know you and your family! Depending on the age of your child and their needs, we will examine each child either sitting in the chair or on their parents lap. If necessary a cleaning, xrays, fluoride and other diagnostic tests may be done.

Our number one goal is to make your child comfortable, so each visit will be tailored to your family!

Emergency Information

For established patients we provide emergency care for pain, abscesses, infections or oral trauma’s. If you are experiencing any of these issues please call our office at 775-887-9453. During normal business hours we will see you same day in the office. Outside of normal business hours please follow the instructions on the answering machine to reach an on call doctor.

What kind of X-Rays do you take?

All of our xrays are taken with digital sensors. This means that there is much less radiation produced for each picture. Both xrays inside (bitewings) and outside (panoramic) the mouth can be taken.

What ages do you see?

We see children and teens, as well as people with special needs. The first visit for a child should be by their first birthday, and they can stick around until they leave for college. Patients with special needs such are always welcome.

Insurance and billing, do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major dental insurance plans. To see if we participate in your specific plan, please call us at 775-887-9453 and we would be happy to answer your questions.

If you do not have dental insurance, we do offer a courtesy discount for our non insured families.
